Easter 2024 Holiday Shopping in Canada Survey | National Consumer Research – Caddle & RCC
The recent study for the Retail Council of Canada by Caddle shows that 87% of Canadians observing Easter are set to spend as much or more than last year, with a shift towards more in-person celebrations: 51% plan to host or attend Easter meals, up from 40% in 2023.
Other important insights:
- Most (80%) prefer shopping in person at local retailers, and 52% are blending Easter shopping with regular purchases, with less planning far in advance, possibly to snag better deals.
- Notably, there’s a 14 percentage point decrease in the overall number of Canadians celebrating Easter.
